Atanas was born in 1999 in Ruse, a town on the banks of the Danube, in Bulgaria. His academic journey began with a short period studying Biology and Chemistry which made him realize that his true passion lay in the historical field. He enrolled at Utrecht University where he completed his bachelor degree in history with a focus on political and societal developments in the 19th and 20th century and how they intersected. His interest in history and thirst for knowledge pushed him further to enroll in the double-masters program International War Studies at the University of Potsdam and University College Dublin. Currently, his areas of expertise are the Cold War, Bulgarian history and the history of the Bulgarian intelligence agency
Having successfully completed this challenge, Atanas is now ready for the next chapter in his life, one that begins with his work at Arcadia, a place which aligns perfectly with his views for a more open and democratic access to academic content. While having no prior work experience, he is eager to start a professional career in the field of history, a longtime aspiration of his.
