Simona Cianciola

Simona Cianciola is a professional in the publishing industry, specialising in proofreading, editing, layout
and transcription of ancient manuscripts. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Philosophy from
the University of Naples Federico II and completed a Master's degree in Publishing at the Suor Orsola
Benincasa University. Simona then specialised in literary forms from ancient to modern literature at the University of Naples Federico II. Her recent internship at Tempo Libro in Milan provided her with valuable experience working with publishing houses such as La Vita Felice, BookTime, GM Libri and Eclissi Editrice.
Simona has honed her skills in book editing, including scanning original volumes, proofreading, designing layouts in InDesign and image processing in Photoshop. In particular, he transcribed the manuscript of the
first edition of Orbis Sensualium Pictus by Jan Amos Komenský in 1658, the first title in the 'Il Vitello d'Oro'
series published by La Vita Felice. She has also acquired expertise in cataloguing and bibliographic research.
Simona's contributions include presenting papers at prestigious academic events such as the "Sculpture
and Philosophy" project at the Park and Tomb of Virgil organized by the University of Naples Federico II and Academy of Fine Arts (she is the author of two papers titled Totem. Ovvero per una visione tripartita and Ζωή, Zoé. O essenza della vita naturale); and the international philosophy festival "La Filosofia, il Castello e la Torre" in Naples (she is the author of a paper titled Platone e Pitagora φιλόκαλοι: sulla semantica della καλοκαγαθία). Her papers explore topics that merge philosophy and art, demonstrating a scientific depth and interdisciplinary approach. From 2018 to 2021, Simona volunteered at Edizioni 2000diciassette,
proofreading and editing essays, novels, short stories and poetry anthologies, constantly improving editorial quality. She has also collaborated with the pop-cultural and philosophical magazine Pourparler.
